Professor José Manuel Molina López

José Manuel Molina López is a doctor in telecommunications engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
He is currently a professor in the area of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the Carlos III University of Madrid.
He is the director of the Applied Artificial Intelligence group, and director of the postgraduate program in COMPUTER SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY at the Carlos III University of Madrid, having previously held the position of director of the Department of COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING, Vice-rector for Students, Residences and Cultural Activities, Assistant to the Vice Chancellor of the Colmenarejo Campus and Deputy Director of the Computer Science and Engineering degree.
In relation to research, he develops various public and private research projects, focused on the application of Artificial Intelligence techniques to various problems in engineering, social sciences and biological sciences. He is the author of more than 100 articles in international journals that appear in the JCR, 80 articles in peer-reviewed journals, more than 250 papers at international conferences, 15 books, and more than 15 chapters in collective works.
His areas of interest are focused on Artificial Intelligence topics such as Machine Learning, Multiagent Systems, Fuzzy Reasoning, Deep Learning, Evolutionary Computing and Decision Making, and its application to various topics such as data analysis, data fusion, active vision and the development of Drones, IoT and Ambient Intelligence systems.
