Stefano Battilossi

Professor Stefano Battilossi

Stefano Battilossi is Associate Professor in the Department of Social Sciences. He has a degree in History from the University of Bologna and a PhD in Economic and Social History from the University of Turin. Before joining UC3M, he was a post-doctoral research fellow at the London School of Economics, Jean Monnet Fellow at the European University Institute, and a visiting professor at Pompeu Fabra University. He has held several academic positions, including Coordinator of the Erasmus Mundus Master in Development and Economic Growth (MEDEG), Deputy Director of the Laureano Figuerola Institute of History and Social Sciences, and Vice Dean of Academic Organization at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law. His research interests focus on macroeconomic and financial history. He has participated in numerous international projects funded by the European Science Foundation and the European Commission through the 7th Framework Program and H2020. He has been Jean Monnet Chair of the history of European monetary and financial integration. He is managing editor of the Financial History Review (Cambridge University Press).
