Professor Mª Luisa González-Cuéllar Serrano

Mª Luisa González-Cuéllar Serrano has a Law Degree from the Autonomous University of Madrid (1992) and a PhD in Law from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (1997) (Extraordinary award for a doctoral thesis from UC3M). She is currently Full Professor of Financial and Tax Law at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Her fields of research include various social areas, such as taxation of cultural activity, housing, economic-family relations or people with disabilities. Along with this, she has also worked in mediation and arbitration in tax matters, the taxation of professional companies, the double taxation of dividends, the taxation of professional athletes, the probative value of Inspection records, local taxes and State aids.

All these studies have been the subject of various monographs, participation in collective books and articles in specialized magazines. She has been a principal investigator in projects related to the taxation of housing and the harmonization of taxation on companies at the community level. She
has also participated in projects related to the financing of the Autonomous Communities, the tax base of the Corporation Tax, the taxation of people with disabilities and the financial regime of the Local Tax Authorities.

She has been an Advisor to the Minister of Housing (2008-2009). From 2011 to 2015 she was Vice Rector for Students and University Life at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Since 2015 she has been Vice Rector for Students, Social Responsibility and Equality at this same University.
