Professor Mónica Chinchilla Sánchez

Associate Professor at Electrical Department. She received Ph. D. in Industrial Engineering (2001) at the UC3M. Since 2002 she joined in the group of appropriate technologies for sustainable development of UC3M, where she teach wind and photovoltaic energy subjects. She is co-author of 33 articles in international and national journals and conferences.Her lines of research focus on off-grid photovoltaic systems and energy poverty. She has participated in 17 R+D Projects financed in public calls and 8 in R+D contracts of special relevance with Companies and/or Administrations, projects focus both on the integration of wind and photovoltaic energy in the electricity system, on the study of vulnerable populations and on inter-university collaboration with higher education institutions in developing countries, such as Nicaragua, Haiti, Cuba or Ecuador.
