Professor Sergio Sánchez Delgado

PhD in Industrial Engineering from UC3M (2010). Associate Professor of the Department of Thermal and Fluids Engineering (2018). His research lines are mainly focused on energy systems engineering, related to renewable energies: development of new solar thermal storage systems, energy efficiency, thermochemical transformation of biomass and waste and fluidized bed dynamics.

Principal Investigator in national and regional research projects, and in research contracts with public administrations and leading companies in the energy sector, participating in 30 Research Projects/Contracts. He has two six-year research periods (relative 1).

Director of 3 doctoral theses (2 defended, 1 in progress), co-author of 29 JCR indexed scientific publications (h-index 16), with results presented in more than 20 international conferences and international collaborations with Cambridge University, TuDelft University, Universitry of Limerick and Università degli Studi Genova.

Teaching activities in Thermal Engineering, Heat Transfer, Industrial Heat and Cooling and Thermal Machines and Power Plants. Director of the Master's program in Industrial Mechanics (11/19-05/23).
