Professor Guadalupe Vadillo Martín

Dr. Guadalupe Vadillo is associate professor in the department of Continuum Mechanics and Structural Analysis at University Carlos III of Madrid. She finished her studies in Industrial Engineering (2000) and she defended her doctoral thesis at University Carlos III of Madrid in 2007. She has published more than 20 articles in journals indexed in the JCR. Among all the articles published, 11 have been developed in collaboration with 11 different foreign researchers belonging to several centers of recognized prestige.

Dr. Vadillo has been the leader of a work package in a European Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Networks (ETN) project, framed in the excellent science section of the Horizon 2020 program.  Dr. Vadillo is currently the leader of a work package in a European project Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Research and Innovation Staff Exchange (RISE). She is CO-PI of a national project obtained in the excellence projects call of 2017 (State Research Agency) and she is also currently PI of a national project in the call of 2019 “Acciones de Dinamización Europa Investigación”. Dr Vadillo has been a member of the Scientific Committee of three International Congresses and has participated in the organization of 2 International Congresses and a thematic session.

Dr. Vadillo made long research stays at the Texas A & M University (College Station), at the KTH University (Stockholm) and the DTU University (Denmark). The total duration of the long stays were 7 months. She made also short research stays in the Technion (Israel) and in the University of Lorraine (France).

Dr. Vadillo supervised 2 doctoral thesis and she is currently supervising 2 more.

Dr. Vadillo taught and coordinated different courses offered by the department of Continuum Mechanics and Structural Analysis (University Carlos III of Madrid) in several degrees and master studies
