Professor Ricardo Vergaz Benito

Associate Professor at Electronics Technology Department. He received MScs Degrees in Physics (1996) and Electronics Engineering (2000) and Ph. D. in Science (Physics, 2001) at the University of Valladolid, Spain. Since 2001 he joined GDAF-UC3M at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), where he teaches electronics and photonics subjects.

His research lines are: electrooptic materials and devices characterization and their applications on Engineering, including new generation solar cells; design and characterization of novel metasurfaces and nanostructures to improve their optical and electrical performance by light handling; and applications for assistive technologies, collaborating with CESyA.

Supervisor of 4 Ph. D. Thesis in the last 10 years, co-author of more than 50 papers indexed in JCR, and more than 120 communications in congresses. Co-inventor of 2 patents (1 in exploitation) and 1 Software Register.

In the Secondary Schools divulgation program since its beginning, he has driven Teaching Innovation Projects and SPOCs, including ElectronicsLab, coursed by 800 students mean per year and uc3m`s pioneer in digital certification.
