Objectives

The Institute’s aims are reflection and integration from a gender perspective in all scientific areas, primarily scientific research and innovation with an interdisciplinary approach, as well as participation in national and international research networks, together with dissemination and training of specialized postgraduates with a gender perspective in the different academic fields.

Lines of research

As one of its aims, the Institute will facilitate coordination of multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary scientific studies, grouped according to the gender perspective, with the convergence of research of a sociological, legal, economical, historical, documentary, statistical, biological, journalistic, technological, philosophical, linguistic, literary, engineering, or artistic nature, among others.

Accordingly, the following Institute research lines are initially proposed:
