Professor María Dolores Blanco Rojas

Dr. Dolores Blanco received the M.Sc. Degree CC. Physics from the Complutense University of Madrid in 1992 and the Ph.D. degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the Carlos III University in 2002. She is part of the Department of Systems and Automation Engineering of the Carlos III University since 1996, and since 2009 she is Associated Professor. She is a member of the UC3M RoboticsLab research group.

She has supervised 6 PhD theses and currently has 3 in development. Among the scientific publications that have been derived from her research career, 7 book chapters, 30 articles in international journals and around 50 contributions to international congresses must be cited.

She has maintained a constant research activity since her incorporation to UC3M, participating in more than 25 research projects funded by international and national programs and in collaboration with private companies. In recent years, Dr. Dolores Blanco has been principal investigator in 2 national projects and some projects financed by companies such as ARQUIMEA, AIRBUS and SIEMENS.

Her current lines of research include new robotics actuator technologies and the design and control of rehabilitation robotics exoskeletons.
