Professor Isabel Gutiérrez Calderón
Isabel Gutiérrez is Professor of Business Organization in the Department of Business Economics at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. She has a doctorate in Business Economics from the University of Seville, where she graduated in Economic and Business Sciences. She has been a tenured professor at the University of Seville and a visiting professor at Arizona State University.
His research interests are focused on organizational theory and strategic management. His research explores the temporal and spatial competitive dynamics, and their effects on the results of the organizations that face radical internal innovations, institutional changes and technological discontinuities. Her works have been published in leading international journals in the field of business management, such as the Academy of Management Journal, Organization Studies or the Academy of Management Review.
She is currently Vice Rector for Studies and the Madrid-Puerta de Toledo Campus, and previously she was Vice-Rector for Undergraduate Studies (2007-2011), Director of the Doctoral Program in Business Economics and Quantitative Methods (2005-2006) and Director of the Department of Bussiness Economics of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (1996-2001).
