Professor Mónica Campos Gómez
Monica Campos is graduated in Physics from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (1995) and as Materials Engineer from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (1998). Subsequently, she joined the Carlos III University of Madrid in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and Chemical Engineering, obtaining the PhD. in Industrial Technologies in 2002. Currently she is Associate Professor and develops her teaching activity in various Undergraduate and Postgraduate subjects linked to the Materials Science area.
She has been active in research since 1999, publishing in international scientific journals and participating in the dissemination of results through participation in International Congresses and invited papers. Her research lines refer to the production, characterization and analysis of the behavior of the final product, mainly in sintered low alloy steels and sintered steels for extreme environments. Recently it has been working on additive manufacturing with metallic powders.
Since 2005 she has been making her teaching and research work compatible with management activities. She has been Academic Secretary of the Materials Science and Engineering Department (2005-2009), Director (and Deputy Director) of the "Álvaro Alonso Barba" Institute of Chemistry and Materials Technology, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for University Access and Admission.
