UC3M has been ranked in Fundación Haz’s highest level for transparency

11/23/22

Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) has obtained the maximum level label, three stars, awarded by Fundación Haz (formerly Fundación Compromiso y Transparencia, or Commitment and Transparency Foundation) for complying with more than 90% of the transparency indicators established by the foundation on its website.

La UC3M logra la máxima categoría de transparencia de la Fundación Haz

According to Fundación Haz’s transparency report for the year 2021, UC3M is among the most transparent universities in Spain. This ranking analyses 27 transparency indicators in ten major areas: strategic plan, personnel, policies and governance, social committee, related entities, academic supply and demand, teaching and research staff, student body, economic information and results.

This analysis verifies compliance with four principles of transparency on university websites: visibility (that the content is in a visible place on the institution's web pages); accessibility (that the information has been published openly, without requiring any permission or registration for its consultation); currency (that the content is up to date); and comprehensiveness (that the information is complete and exhaustive).

This report collects data from 2021 from the websites of 49 public and 27 private Spanish universities. The 't for transparent' label is a mark created by Fundación Haz with the aim of accrediting compliance with certain transparency indicators and principles on websites. There are three levels of compliance: the 't***' category, which is reserved for institutions that comply with more than 90% of the indicators; 't**', which is awarded to those that achieve between 80% and 90% compliance; and 't*', for those that are between 70% and 80%.
