The UC3M opens admissions to its master's degree courses for the academic year 2022/23

The first registration period runs until January 31st, 2022

12/1/21

The Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) has opened the first admission period for enrolment on its academic-professional and research official master's degree courses (másteres universitarios in Spanish). Each of these second-cycle advanced education courses are designed to meet the different needs of the labour market.

The university offers three types of official master's degree courses. Firstly, there are the academic-professional master's degrees, with work placements in companies and a high level of employability; secondly, research master's degrees, geared towards the completion of a doctorate; and thirdly, courses that enable students to engage in regulated professional activities.

The first admission period for academic-professional and research master's degrees closes on January 31st, 2022. Subsequently, further enrolment periods will be opened for courses for which there are still places available. Meanwhile, there is a different, customised calendar for the third type of master's degree courses (see admissions calendar).

Coinciding with the beginning of the admission process, the UC3M is also opening applications for various scholarships and tuition grants, financed via its own funds and those of other entities, which are available to all master's degree students (from Spain and abroad) and reward the academic excellence of prospective students (see master’s degree scholarships and grants).

For the 2022/23 academic year, the UC3M is introducing four new official master's degree courses, in Computational Social Sciences, Sustainable Development and Global Governance, European Economic Governance: Law, Politics and Economics, and Applied Artificial Intelligence (see course finder).

In addition to the official master's degrees, the UC3M also offers a number of applied courses (títulos propios in Spanish). The UC3M School of Continuing Education has also opened a single enrolment period for these courses until all places are filled. This type of specialised training consists mainly of master's degrees and expert and specialist qualifications, as well as other courses, diplomas and seminars.

New developments for the coming academic year include a number of new applied courses, such as the online master’s degree in Contemporary Legal and Political Philosophy; Specialist in Railway Operational Safety; Expert in Digital Advocacy, and others that are in the process of being approved.

The UC3M offers a wide range of postgraduate courses. In total, around 70 official master's degree courses are available in the fields of Law, Economics and Political Science, Business, Humanities and Communications, and Engineering and Basic Sciences, in addition to around 50 applied courses. Around 10 percent of the courses are bilingual and around 20 percent are taught in English.

The UC3M is a Spanish public university that excels in research, teaching and innovation. It is among the 35 best universities in the world according to the QS Top 50 Under 50 ranking, and among the best Spanish universities as regards the employability of its graduates, according to the latest edition of the Global University Employability Ranking by Times Higher Education (THE) and the QS Graduate Employability Ranking. The UC3M has numerous accreditations and quality recognitions, such as the EUR-ACE label in the field of engineering and the AACSB accreditation in business and finance courses, among others.
