21 UC3M masters, among the best in Spain

250 Masters Guide El Mundo 2019

The Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) is listed as one of the best Spanish institutions to study a postgraduate degree, according to the new 250 MASTERS ranking published by the newspaper El Mundo in their sixteenth edition. According to the results of this report, the UC3M has 21 masters in the five top positions among the 50 specialities that are evaluated.

This guide compiles 250 postgraduate programmes, selected out of over a thousand options analysed. The aim is to provide information of interest to future students. Only degrees with the following requirements were included: they must be on-site programmes, be taught in Spain, last for a minimum of 500 hours of lesson time and have at least four years already completed. This last characteristic (that they must have been taught in the last five years) excludes over twenty UC3M masters from this ranking, which have been launched during this period.

In order to carry out this ranking, 800 experts, lecturers, ex-students of the degrees and partner companies have been collaborated with. In total, 25 criteria have been considered, related to demand, human resources, study plans, results and the materials these master’s courses have available.

New postgraduate degrees

For the academic year 2019/20, the UC3M is offering ten new postgraduate degrees. On the one hand, five new masters based on the following topics: Advanced Studies in Public Law, Connected Industry 4.0, Information Health Engineering, Space Engineering and Internet of Things: Applied Technologies. On the other hand, the UC3M School of Continuing Education is launching five of their own new degrees: Master in Film and Video Preservation; Master in International Communication in Europe; Master in Edition. Publishing in the 21st Century; Master in Sustainable Development Law and Policy; and the Expert Degree in New Ventures Creation in The Fashion and Lifestyle Industry.

The UC3M has over a hundred postgraduate educational programmes. In total, over 60 masters in the fields of Law, Economics, Political Science, Business, Humanities and Communication and Engineering and Basic Sciences, and over 50 UC3M-accredited programmes are taught. Throughout the academic year 2018/2019, around 1,300 students and professionals from different countries chose the UC3M to complete their postgraduate education. In fact, 35% of the over 110 masters and degrees are taught bilingually or in English.
