The demand to study at la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) has gone up this year; the degree cut off grades have increased by 80% in comparison to last year. This data confirms that UC3M continues to attract the best students: the average overall admissions score for a place on a degree course for the next academic year is at 11.612 points out of 14.  What is more, the three new degrees that have been offered this year, the Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Technology (in English), the Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science and Engineering (in English) and the Bachelor’s Degree in History and Politics (Bilingual), have been well received and had high cut off grades.

Whilst the demand for university studies in the Madrid district this year has generally remained steady in comparison to last year, in UC3M’s case it has gone up by 4.3 per cent.  For every 100 places offered, 174 applications have been received, an average of 6 more than last year.

It is clear that UC3M is attractive to students from other autonomous regions and countries, as more than 45 per cent of students accepted come from outside of Madrid.

The degrees with the highest cut off grades within the School of Social Sciences and Law have been the Dual Bachelor in International Studies and Law (13.493) and the Dual Bachelor in International Studies and Business Administration (13.216); within the The School of Humanities, Communication and Library Science, the Dual Bachelor in Journalism and Film, Television and Media Studies (12.139) and within the School of Engineering, the Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering (12.747) and the Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering (12.734).
