A total of 92.3 percent of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) graduates enter the job market the first year after finishing their studies. That is some of the information gathered by the 22nd UC3M Professional Placement Study (XXII Estudio de Inserción Profesional UC3M) through the Servicio de Orientación y Empleo (Orientation and Employment Service), in collaboration with Accenture.
The degree of satisfaction of students who have graduated from UC3M is in general very high. From a sample of 1,139 graduates from 24 bachelor degree programs and six double degree programs for graduating class 2016/2017, 96.4 percent would recommend pursuing studies at UC3M. The prestige of the University, the resources available to students, and its complementary activities are the main factors, according to those surveyed.
As for the socio-professional profile, 89.3% of the graduates entered the private sector (in particular multinational companies) with job responsibilities in line with their education and training. In fact, in 84% of the cases, the posts taken on were related to their degrees. The highest percentage of job market incorporation were those linked to consultancy and legal services, law offices, and the areas of banking, finance and insurance. As for salaries, more than half of the graduates (60%) receive a net monthly income above 1,200 euros.
UC3M considers the professional placement of it students as one of its priority strategic lines, and it has agreements with more than 6,000 companies and institutions, enabling its students to carry out professional internships and access their respective job banks. Accordingly, there are specific services to foment graduates’ access and promotion within the job market through its diverse programs of internships, job banks and job fairs, such as Forempleo.
