UC3M Research Portal, new portal with University R+D+i data

Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) presented its new portal which allows University R+D+i to be viewed and examined. The UC3M Research Portal, as it is called, gathers information about its researchers and the scientific activity of its departments, institutes and active research groups.
This platform, developed in collaboration with the UC3M Research Service and the Library, seeks to further promote advanced research in accordance with international criteria. Its aim is to enable fast, dynamic and modernized access to UC3M scientific information.
Through this new online tool, it can easily be determined who is carrying out research in a certain area or learn about the lines of research of UC3M faculty, departments, research groups and institutes. Accordingly, businesses and research centers can locate University experts with which to collaborate or students can find out what dissertations have been directed in recent years, for example.
Another advantage of the portal is that a user can access the complete texts of scientific publications, dissertations and patents from the last decade (provided that they are in the UC3M e-Archivo, in another open access file or in any other resource subscribed to), as well as data from UC3M research projects dating back to 2006.
With this initiative, UC3M is aligned with the principal universities of excellence, promoting UC3M research lines and research areas worldwide, while advancing its international and national visibility. This new tool is available under the section “Nuestra Investigación” (Our Research) on the page “Investigación” (Research) of UC3M’s website.
