The Research Group has at its disposal the equipment belonging to Carlos III University of Madrid's Department of Continuous Media ans Structural Theory to which the group members have contributed.

The equipment we have available is the Mechanical Characterisation Laboratory (LabMec), whose aim is to provide service to industry in those fields that require knowledge of the mechanical properties of any kind of material at different deformation speeds and temperatures, especially in dynamic conditions. It has a wide range of equipment and highly qualified personnel.

Currently the technical director is José Antonio Loya Lorenzo, member of our Research Group, and it belongs to the Public Research Organism Laboratory Network (RedLab) of the Madrid Autonomous Region (C.A.M.).

Our Group also has a Numerical Simulation Laboratory, equipped with work stations and commercial codes that are suitable for numerical simulation of mechanical behaviour and structural components.

1. Mechanical Characterisation Laboratory (LabMec)

The Mechanical Characterisation Laboratory not only focuses on mechanical characterisation testing of materials, but also on testing small-sized, simple structural elements. LabMecWebsite

2. Numerical Simulation Laboratory

Our Group has a Numerical Simulation Laboratory capable of tackling a wide variety of numerical problems of interest to industry, from simple static problems to dynamic problems of impact, fracture and fatigue, and so on.
