Sociology of Climate Change and Sustainable Development

Description

The Global Environmental Change and Sustainable Development research group studies the relationship between contemporary society’s activities and climate change. Social causes, socio-political and economic trends, and social consequences are taken into account as well as prospective analyses aimed at proposing mitigation and adaptation strategies, within the general framework of Sustainable Development.


Its principal area of action is the Analysis of Social Trends and Prospective Analysis:

  • Surveys; Quantitative analysis, Qualitative analysis; Analysis of social networks.
  • Economic and statistical analysis.
  • Political and public policy analysis.
  • Social movements.
  • Businesses.
