Lines of research

  • Technologies for advanced communications applications: antenna arrays and active antennas for BTS in 5G and 6G, development of extended wideband MIMO antennas (UWB),  antenna certification, wideband antennas for radio astronomy.
  • Technologies for space and automotive applications: photonic radiometers, radiometry in SiGe, radio astronomy in LEO orbit, Ka-band satellite communications.
  • Millimeter and submillimeter technology: metasurfaces, millimeter band antennas, lenses, multiple antenna systems (MIMO and Massive MIMO).
  • Technologies for biomedical applications: antenna miniaturization,harvesting, sensor development, implantable antennas, dielectric characterization of in-vivo and ex-vivo tissues, development of heterogeneous phantoms.
  • Computational electromagnetics technologies: in-house finite element-based software, development of high performance computing (HPC) applications, development of basis functions, hp adaptivity, domain decomposition methods.
  • New radio technologies: quantum communications, integrated antennas in SiGe, photonic antennas and integration with microwave systems, new communications in automotive systems.
