  • SOME FAQs

I am following my classes online at UC3M, how is my evaluation going to be?

The University has approved a new calendar for the Spring semester that you can check here. Classes will finish on May 22nd, although some of them might end slightly before that date. There will be no onsite exams this year, since the university will remain closed until further notice due to the COVID19.

Your exams will start on May 25 and end on June 9. It is very likely that most professors will propose online continuous evaluation methods to assess your progress (submission of papers, projects, case studies, problems, etc.), and/or synchronous or oral exams. They will contact you in due time to inform you about the final evaluation procedure.

The possibility of a face-to-face evaluation in the extraordinary call (retake) will depend on the evolution of the COVID-19 emergency. We will keep you updated through this FAQ page.

In addition, in your personalized Aula Global calendar you can check the day assigned for each exam. You can consult all the information about online teaching and the online resources offered by UC3M here.

Can I drop out of my program of study?

You can leave the program by giving up all the subjects you have enrolled in.

In this case, contact your coordinator and, if you have any doubts, write to students.c3is@uc3m.es and we will cancel your registration.

The cancellation of your studies does not entitle you to a refund of fees.

Can I enroll in a program at the International School next semester, Fall 2020?

Admissions for next year are being processed normally and all C3IS programs are still offered for next year 2020-2021.

Can I cancel the registration at the beginning of the term?

If, due to a duly justified force majeure, you are unable to attend the programme, you may cancel your registration until 6 September 2020.

What if I have not been able to follow the continuous assessment and I want to take the exams?

As long as you present a valid justification to your teachers you can take the exam for the subject. These will only be valid for reasons of illness or death of family members or for not having the minimum computer support to carry out the online teaching.

Will I get my academic certificate at the end of the course?

At the end of the online evaluation you will receive your academic certificate.

Depending on your program, we will inform you how to obtain it.

What steps should I take to obtain my student visa in my country?

With the letter of admission that you receive from the International School of the UC3M you can apply for the visa at the Spanish Embassy or Consulate where you will be informed of the procedures to follow.
