Advisors Tour

There is a growing interest among international students for education abroad opportunities. These experiences promote the acquisition of new skills and capabilities which are needed in today’s demanding job market.

For this reason, the Carlos III International School would like to invite you to spend a week with us to experience Carlos III University of Madrid, one of the best universities in Europe, focused on high-quality education and internalization. WHY COME?                   

The Carlos III University of Madrid holds the 22nd place on the QS World Ranking of 50 universities under 50 years of age and is one of the most innovative European public universities. It is known for high performance research and excellent teaching, committed to the improvement of society and following the most demanding international standards. It is also one of the leading universities in internationalization, with 67.5% of Degrees taught in English or in the bilingual modality. 41% of its students participate in international mobility programs and 1 in 5 students at UC3M come from abroad.

Furthermore, UC3M is lider in European Mobility through the Erasmus+ program and has signed 870 international mobility agreements with universities in 56 countries.

International students can apply to:

  • Rolling Admission (Early Admission process)

International students may apply to an early admission process open from October 22nd until April 1st, without having to take the Specific Competency Exams (PCE) in June, which allows international students to get into the university.

The UC3M, pioneer in developing this system, gives priority to students who have finished or are finishing high school (bachillerato or equivalent) with a GPA matching UC3M admission standards, if they apply to a Degree in this period and comply with all the requirements. 8% of the total spots at UC3M are allocated to this admission process.   • International Foundation Program

The International Foundation Program (IFP) is aimed at preparing international students who wish to get into a Degree program. It is designed for students to acquire a knowledge base of the Spanish language and university culture, as well as advancing in their future studies and academic career. The IFP also provides an opportunity for students to explore their academic preferences and introducing them to the European academic system.

The IFP is a one-year program, in English or Spanish, divided into two knowledges areas: Social Sciences and Humanities, or Engineering. (More information IFP)


Other Programs for international students: 

  • A short-term stay

Study Abroad Program (SAP) or Curso de Estudios Hispánicos (CEH) with the option to enroll in any English or Spanish-taught UC3M courses. (More info CEH / SAP)

  • Free Movers

International students in the Free Mover program can take regular UC3M Degree courses related to their knowledge area and it is not necessary that there is an exchange agreement with their home university. In addition, the program allows students to take up to two courses from a knowledge area different from their studies. Students will have the opportunity to obtain an interdisciplinary and quality education by completing their degree with engineering, humanities or social science courses.
