    The objective of the Digital Marketing Specialist course at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) is to build career skills in digital marketing, earning a Specialization certificate by the university. The course is taught in English. The teaching process combines lectures with practical assessments to enhance a "learning by doing" acquisition of professional competences. Except for two subjects, class attendance is required. Students will blend with national or international students from other marketing programs.

    The program has 3 terms, each one lasts 7 weeks (but the online subjects allow more flexibility). The first term starts in September, the second term starts in November, and the third one on January. Typically, the course will be finish around Easter.

    The specialization course is taught by faculty from Business Administration Department of the University Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) in collaboration with professionals of relevant firms. All faculty members of UC3M have Doctorate Degrees (Ph.D).

    The professionals collaborating in the program come from different public and private companies who share their invaluable experience and in-depth knowledge of the different domains of digital marketing.

    One of the key aspects for the success of these Specialist courses is the quality and research experience of instructors and the continuous updating of the syllabus of the courses to incorporate recent innovations in the industry.

      General Requirements

      All candidates must hold a college degree or equivalent (in any country) over 180 ECTS. Candidates in their last year to complete their degree may also apply. In this case, the acceptance is conditioned upon the completion of the degree.

      Students Profile

      Preferably, students should have a background in related areas, including social sciences, business, economics, IT and industrial engineering.

      Admission Criteria

      The course is taught in English and full command of written and spoken English is required. You need to demonstrate proficiency in English by submitting the results of either a TOEFL score with a minimum of 490 (TOEIC Listening & Reading) or 95 (TOEFL iBT, internet-based); or, Academic IELTS score with a minimum of 6.5 score overall and a minimum score of 6.0 on individual parts of the test; or Passed Cambridge Advanced English (CAE) test. Through a personal interview, you can also demonstrate a sufficient level of English (requesting an interview in the documentation). Students whose native language is English and students who have completed their bachelor’s university studies in English will have the English test requirement waived, upon presentation of the corresponding documentation.

      Admission will be decided by the Master Academic Committee. The Committee will search for the best candidates for the program based on the following criteria:

      • Academic Excellence: Successful applicants will have excellent bachelor-degree results, sound analytic backgrounds, and strong interpersonal skills. The Committee value the presentation of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) results, as evidences in candidates’ quality.
      • Language: Successful applicants will have a good and proven knowledge in written and spoken English.
      • Interviews may be used to evaluate and asses a candidate' fit with our program.



      Admission process

      The deadline to apply is June 15th. If after this date there are vacancies, an extraordinary period might be open.

      Candidates interested in enrolling in the program need properly scanned the following documents:

      • Official academic transcript of the highest studies completed (including grades)

      The tuition fee is:

      • Students UE: 4,500.00 €
      • Students NO-UE: 5,000 €

      To be paid in two instalments:

      • First and place reservation: 1,000 euros after receiving admission in the program.
      • Second: The remainder fee in October 31th.

      Payment of the reservation fee is non-refundable unless the University attributable to causes.


    This program provides you with the essential skills and knowledge to work in digital marketing. In addition, you will have the chance to improve your networking with other students. If you are working on this area, this course may facilitate career promotion within the company, and it should improve your job opportunities in the area.


    Duration and timetable

    The course of Specialist in Digital Marketing is taught on the campus of Madrid Puerta de Toledo and last for over 8 months.

    • The first term online subject begins in September.
    • On-Campus classes will begin on November and will take place on Fridays and/or Thursdays, from 9:00am to 15:30pm.
    • The masters typically finish before Easter, but students failing a subject may have a retake in June.
