The test was carried out at the LIR-UC3M Infrared Laboratory facilities at the Carlos III University in Leganes, Spain. The LIR-UC3M researchers analyze the results to contribute to the development of the project.

The sample used in this test was a thin plate made of thermosetting composite material and PAEK. As a heat source, a prepared lamp was used to generate an impulse.

The UC3M researchers recorded IR sequences on the front and back of the sample. These will allow to obtain its temperature evolution throughout the duration of the test. These sequences are currently being analyzed in order to extract thermal parameters from the material.
