Classroom based and mixed classroom and distance learning

Characteristics of the teaching modes: classroom based and mixed classroom and distance learning.

Based on the necessary role of the same teachers in all the subjects taught on this master's course in the two different teaching options offered, it is necessary to specify the differences and analogies. The teachers, course content and syllabus subjects are common to both modes, as are the choice of optional subjects available to students, the work placement or possibilities of work practice outside the university and the final dissertation. Students will have the same rights and obligations in terms of access to the university in both modes.

Universidad Carlos III de Madrid has tremendous accumulated experience in the proposed modes, and therefore we are able to respond to each of the cases that may be raised either by teaching staff or by the university administration. It is important to highlight the fact that these options offer improved facilities for integrating all students on this master's course.

The differences are as follows, the class schedule differs, since  with the mixed B learning option students spend less time in the classroom - a minimum of 40 % attendance for each subject - and more time working online, which means that teaching staff will provide greater support and systematic virtual attention online -online tutorials, debating forums etc. in this b learning mode. Tutorials are ensured, although these will differ bearing in mind the mode chosen.

In short, it is hoped that with the same human resources, academic infrastructure and services   the specific needs and requirements of all students will be met.
