    The Master in Mathematical Engineering, at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, provides students with the necessary tools to address scientific and technological challenges using:

    • A precise mathematical/physical/statistical foundation
    • The formulation of a problem using a mathematical model
    • Numerical and theoretical solutions to mathematical frameworks
    • The interpretation of the solution to make it practical

    Therefore, the Master provides a flexible and interdisciplinary education, based on a solid fundamental education, to adapt the quick evolution of technology and applied sciences.

      Application

      The request is made electronically through our application. Before starting the admission process it is important to consult the supporting information that we offer below:

      Requirements

      • Engineering and Architecture graduates. Science graduates, especially in areas related to Mathematics and Physics
      • Ingenieros Superiores (students holding Spanish Engineering degrees of five years' duration.) Licenciados (Holders of five-year undergraduate Science degrees, especially in Mathematics and Physics)
      • Other university degrees in subjects related to the Master's Degree in Mathematical Engineering's area of interest.

      In any case, all candidates should be holders of degrees with a minimum of 120 credits taken from mathematical subjects.

       

      Admission criteria

      The selection of candidates will be made by the Management Scientific Committee of the program. Admission of candidates will be based on their merits and ability,  and    for which purpose the following criteria will be considered:

      • Candidate’s academic transcript
      • The candidate's CV
      • Letters of support and academic references from university staff or from any other institutions or organizations that may have first-hand knowledge of the applicant's skills and abilities

      If the course is oversubscribed due to high demand, personal interviews may be conducted with candidates.

      Language requirements

      Check the general language requirements required to study a Master’s at UC3M, depending on whether it is in Spanish, English or bilingual.

      students with foreign university degrees

      Once admitted to the Master’s, students with university degrees issued by a higher education institution belonging to an educational system outside the EHEA, must provide, for enrolment, the diploma, legalized by diplomatic procedures or by means of The Hague Apostille. They must also submit the transcript of records, with the grade point average, duly legalized.

      If needed, documents must be accompanied by an official sworn translation into Spanish.

      2019-2020 Academic year

       

      • Reservation fee: €450 (It will be paid once the student receives notification of admission to the master’s, and deducted from the first tuition payment)

      48 ECTS in the first academic year:

      • EU students: €2,160.96 (€45.02/ECTS credit)
      • Non EU students: €4,035.36 (€84.07/ECTS credit)
         

      * Pending approval by the Regional Government of Madrid for 2019/2020

      NOTE: The enrolment fees do not include the cost of issuing the master’s degree certificate.

      Additional information

      • You may enrol on the master’s degree after completing the admission process and receiving formal confirmation of your acceptance.
      • When performing the enrolment you can choose between Full-time enrolment or Part-time enrolment.
      • The email address provided upon enrolment will be used for formal communications; students are therefore kindly requested to check their mail regularly.
      • Pursuant to the regulations of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, a student failing to pay any part of the fees will not be admitted and the enrolment process will be terminated. In cases of cancellation of enrolment due to non-payment, the University may demand the payment of the pending amounts for enrolment in previous academic courses as a prior condition of enrolment.
        No diploma or certificate will be issued if a student has any outstanding payments.

    UC3M Scholarships for the Year 2019/2020

    CALL AM06-19/20 │ CLOSED

    The UC3M announces 4 grants for the payment of academic fees for academic year 2019-20 (with possibility of extension for the 2020-21 academic year), aimed at new students entering the Master in Mathematical Engineering (Specialization in Statistics).

    To apply for the aid it is necessary to have completed the application for admission to the Master.


    Application deadline: 25th August 2019.

    Resolution: September 2019.

    CALL AM04-19/20-AUIP │ RESOLVED

    The Carlos III University of Madrid announces 1 aid for the academic year 2019-20, aimed at newly admitted students of the Master in Mathematical Engineering from non-Spanish university centers associated with the Ibero-American Postgraduate University Association (AUIP), with the following provision:

    • Tuition assistance for the amount of the corresponding academic fees
    • Bag or study aid of € 1,500

    To apply, you must have completed the application for admission to the Master’s.

     

    Application deadline: 10th April 2019.

    The Carlos III University of Madrid announces 4 full grants to study the Master in Mathematical Engineering in the academic year 2019/2020, which gives access to doctoral programs of the UC3M.

    The full aid will include the corresponding academic fees, as well as a monthly allowance of € 945.36 gross.

    To apply for the aid it is necessary to have made the application for admission to the Master. Once the notification of admission is received, the student must pay the place reservation within the established deadlines (if the student is finally awarded, the amount of the reservation will be refunded).
