MASTER IN TELECOMMUNICATIONS ENGINEERING Master in Space Engineering The UC3M offers you the possibility of jointly studying the Master in Telecommunications Engineering, along with the Master in Space Engineering. The former allows you to acquire the training to practice as a Telecommunications Engineer. This study option means you will obtain a high level of specialization and research training that will put you in prime position regarding employment and / or access to Ph.D. studies.
VERSIONS
Two versions of the Master in Telecommunications Engineering are offered: a bilingual version taught on the Madrid-Puerta de Toledo Campus and a Spanish version taught on the Leganés Campus.
Students may select whichever one of the two versions they wish to follow during the admissions process. This choice only affects the first course.
The Master in Space Engineering is bilingual and is taught in Leganés Campus.
Master in Telecommunications Engineering
The Master in Telecommunications Engineering is a professional Master to replace the Telecommunications Engineering undergraduate degree and enables you to practice as a Telecommunications Engineer, under the provisions of Order CIN / 355/2009 of 9th February.
The Spanish Association of Engineers requires professionals, from companies in the telecommunications field (major manufacturers of telecommunications equipment or telephone service providers) and from other companies, institutions or organizations that need qualified personnel to design and maintain their own telecommunications systems.
The overall aim of the Master in Telecommunications Engineering is to train professionals who are competent to practice as Telecommunications Engineers. The Master is geared towards advanced training and enhancing employability
Master in Space Engineering
The Master of Space Engineering provides the comprehensive and specialized training required by the space industry. This is a booming sector with growth in Europe and Spain of almost 10% per year in the last decade. The labor market of this industry is dynamic, with a high demand for master-level graduates in engineering, in particular, from the areas of aerospace and telecommunications.
The Master's program in Space Engineering responds to the international, integral, and multidisciplinary nature of the space projects and missions according to three vectors. First, the teaching of the master's degree is entirely in English. Second, it provides a complete training in design and systems engineering with a teaching methodology aimed at the development of space projects. Third, the key topics in space technologies and applications are covered theoretically and practically. These includes both the space vehicle, understood as the platform on which different subsystems are integrated, and its orbital and attitude dynamics, as well as the disciplines related to control, communications, data transmission, as well as the most relevant technological applications.
The UC3M has the appropriate means to provide the necessary multidisciplinary training, through the Departments involved in the fields of Aerospace, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Automation, etc. Finally, it has been established a close collaboration with the industrial sector for both lecturing and internships.

STRUCTURE
The Double Master's Degree Curriculum is structured around two academic years in which you will take 78 ECTS from the Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering and 60 ECTS from the Master's Degree in Space Engineering.
The 138 total credits from the dual curriculum is broken down as follows:
- In the first year, students take subjects for the Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering (30 ECTS in each semester). Each semester you will take five core subjects of 6 ECTS each.
- During the second year of teaching, you will take specialty subjects in Space Engineering (42 compulsory ECTS and 6 elective ECTS), 1 final Telecommunications Engineering subject and the Master's Thesis.
- The third year is reserved for the completion of the Master's Thesis of the specialty in Space Engineering.
You will have 42 validated ECTS credits, and on completion you receive two Official Master's Degree qualifications.
