The goal of the Master in Advanced Communications Technologies is to train researchers and professionals with the necessary skills and abilities for the analysis and design of the main telecommunications and location/navigation systems that have enabled revolutionary changes in the last decade that have transformed work, leisure and consumption habits in society. These skills are highly demanded by sectors with a wide implementation in Spain and Europe such as the Security, Defense and Communications sectors.
The master's degree serves as a basis for admission to the Doctoral Program in Signal Processing and Communications Engineering.

Requirements
A Degree in Telecommunication Engineering or a similar bachelor’s degree. In addition, upon approval by the Master’s Administrative Board, holders of other degrees comprising similar training and instruction (such as Industrial or Computer Engineering or undergraduate Degrees in Physical Science and Mathematics) may be admitted.
The student is assumed to have the necessary English level to follow the Master. Additionally, if all students in a subject are Spanish speakers, by agreement of all parts, the subject could be taught in Spanish.
Admission criteria
Admission will be decided by the Master’s Academic Committee. Candidate selection will be done on the basis of the following criteria:
ADMISSION CRITERIA % 1. Candidate’s academic transcript 70% 2. Ability of the candidate to successfully undertake the Master’s program studies 20% 3. Motivation of candidate, commitment, dedication to program and corresponding research interests 10% For evaluation of criterion 1, the applicant’s academic transcript will be taken into account: courses taken and marks obtained.
For evaluation of criterion 2, previous education and training of the applicant will be taken into account together with his/her professional experience according to his/her submitted CV.
For evaluation of criterion 3, the candidate’s letter of motivation will be taken into consideration.
Additionally, for evaluation of criteria 2 and 3, letters of recommendation from professors may be taken into consideration, as well as a personal interview with the aspiring candidate requested by the Master’s Administrative Board with the aim of evaluating the candidate more thoroughly.

students with foreign university degrees
Once admitted to the Master’s, students with university degrees issued by a higher education institution belonging to an educational system outside the EHEA, must provide, for enrolment, the diploma, legalized by diplomatic procedures or by means of The Hague Apostille. They must also submit the transcript of records, with the grade point average, duly legalized.

Reservation fee: €450
- it will be paid once the student receives notification of admission to the master’s, and deducted from the first tuition payment
- the reservation fee will only be refunded if the master program is cancelled
60 ECTS in the first academic year:
- EU students: €2,701.2 (€45.02/ECTS credit)
- Non EU students: €5,044.2 (€84.07/ECTS credit)
NOTE: the indicated public prices do not include in any case, neither the ECTS corresponding to the Formative Complements that the student must take (only master's degrees with previous Formative Complements), nor the cost of issuing the master’s degree certificate.

- You may enrol on the master’s degree after completing the admission process and receiving formal confirmation of your acceptance.
- When performing the enrolment you can choose between Full-time enrolment or Part-time enrolment.

- Pursuant to the regulations of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, a student failing to pay any part of the fees will not be admitted and the enrolment process will be terminated. No diploma or certificate will be issued if a student has any outstanding payments.

DOUBLE MASTER DEGREE IN TELECOMMUNICATIONS ENGINEERING AND ADVANCED COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGIES
IMPORTANT
The Master in Advanced Communications Technologies was previously called Master in Multimedia and Communications.
STRUCTURE
The Double Master's Degree Curriculum is structured around two academic years in which you will take 78 ECTS from the Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering and 42 ECTS from the Master's Degree in Advanced Communications Technologies.
The 120 total credits from the dual curriculum is broken down as follows:
- In the first year, students take subjects for the Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering (30 ECTS in each semester).Each semester you will take five core subjects of 6 ECTS each.
- During the second year of teaching, you will take the specialty subjects in Advanced Communications Technologies, 1 final Telecommunications Engineering subject, and 2 Master's Theses.
You will have 30 validated ECTS credits, and on completion you receive two Official Master's Degree qualifications.

IMPORTANT
2 Admission and registration on the double master's degree course will provide exemption from ECTS credits which will be recognized according to the curriculum (see Program). Having obtained credits from both syllabuses, together with recognition of 30 ECTS you will be able to obtain two official master's qualifications in little more than a year and a half.
☛ Enrollment completely registers the student in the Master's Degree.
☛ A minimum enrollment of 25 students will have to be reached for each elective subject to be taught.
