Upon successful completion, the student body will understand multiscale hypersonic phenomena, distinguish between continuum and non-continuum regimes, identify non-equilibrium thermodynamic states, and apply molecular dynamics and mesoscale tools to analyze vehicle-level aerospace applications.
- PROGRAM
This course offers a comprehensive introduction to hypersonic flight, bridging microscopic atomic interactions with macroscopic vehicle design.
The student body explores essential tools, non-equilibrium phenomena, multiscale physics, and the boundary between continuum and non-continuum regimes.
Grounded in real-world aerospace applications, the training enhances employability by equipping participants with foundational skills in molecular dynamics, mesoscale modeling, and hypersonic concepts.

Personalized evaluation method
Continuous assessment consisting of short, interactive online quizzes at the end of core modules and a final case-study assignment where the student body applies foundational multiscale concepts to a conceptual hypersonic vehicle scenario.
