Uxía Carral

Uxía Carral is a PhD candidate and teacher at the Communication Department in the Carlos III University of Madrid. She is a member of both projects, the Chair Jean Monnet “EU, Disinformation & Fake news” (UC3M) and "Racionalidad y contraconocimiento. Epistemología de la detección de falsedades en relatos informativos" (UNED). Her main research area focuses on the effects of technology on the communication and the misinformative political dynamics within the digital public sphere. 


Moreover, she collaborates as a data visualization journalist in Círculo de Análisis Euromediterráneo (CAEM). Previously, she has worked as reporter for mass media such as Cadena SER and researcher in London School of Economics and OBS-UB. She has also written several scientific articles and chapters about disinformation and is co-author of the book ‘Comunicación Europea: ¿A quién doy like para hablar con Europa?’
