Professor Concepción Cascajosa Virino

Senior Lecturer at the Department of Communication of Carlos III University of Madrid, which she joined in 2006. PhD. in Audiovisual Communication with Extraordinary Award (2005) and Bachelor of Audiovisual Communication (2001), in both cases at the Sevilla University. 

Her line of research focuses on the history of audiovisual media, particularly television analysis and television fiction. He is part of the research group TECMERIN (Television-Cinema: memory, representation and industry). She is the author of the books "Prime Time: las mejores series americanas" (2005), "De la TV a Hollywood" (2006) and "El espejo deformado: versiones, secuelas y adaptaciones en Hollywood" (2006), in addition to being an editor from the book "la caja lista: televisión norteamericana de culto" (2007). She is the author of several dozen book chapters and articles in magazines such as "Secuencias", "Comunicar", "Historia y Comunicación Social", "ECO-POS", "Studies in Hispanic Cinemas", "Journal of European Television History and Culture ”and“ Journal of Spanish Cultural Studies ”.

Her teaching activity has taken place in the Bachelor's Degree in Audiovisual Communication (in Spanish and English) and the Joint Studies / Double Degree Journalism and Audiovisual Communication teaching subjects such as "Television Studies", "Television Fiction", "History of Moving Image"," History of Audiovisual Media in Spain" and "Television Programming".
