UC3M’s New Official Master’s in Advertising Communication

La Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) is offering a new official Master’s in Advertising Communication for professionals who wish to develop their full innovative and creative potential in advertising and communication agencies or in advertisers’ marketing and communication departments.

UC3M’s Master’s in Advertising Communication aims to train professionals who will be capable of designing brand and institutional communication strategies that are both creative and ethical. In order to do so, the students’ training will be based on the acquisition of a variety of techniques, enabling them to plan, implement and control the efficacy of different business communication and advertising actions.

The courses will be given in Spanish and English and, in addition to attending the different seminars and workshops, the students will be able to experience each of the phases and tasks involved in the professional world, working at an advertising agency created by the Master’s program itself as a type of laboratory. The students will be required to carry out a project, search for clients, analyze strategies, and develop a proposal; afterwards, a jury of advertisers will award a prize to the best campaign. 

In order to provide an education that is close to the professional reality of the field, UC3M’s teaching staff includes university specialists in communication and advertising research as well as professionals with successful careers, connected to world renowned advertising agencies such as: FCB Spain, VCCP, Grey and Forward of Havas Media. The Master’s program will be signing agreements with the Branded Content Marketing Association and the Spanish Association of Advertising Communication Agencies (Asociación Española de Agencias de Comunicación Publicitaria) in order to promote the master’s and offer internships. There will also be scholarships, aid to students and internships with leading advertising and communication agencies, as well as help from UC3M’s Orientation and Employment service (Orientación & Empleo) to facilitate access to the labor market. 

This is one of the eight new official master’s degrees that UC3M will be offering beginning with the 2016-2017 academic year in the areas of: Social Sciences, Advertising Communication, Administrative Management, Computer Technology Applied to the Financial Sector, Intelligent Electrical Network Technology, Technology and Mobile Services, Transparency and Good Governance, Sustainable Urban Development and Urban Policy.

UC3M offers 64 official master’s degrees (17 in Law; 12 in Economics and Business; 12 in Humanities, Communication, Documentation and Social Sciences; 23 in Engineering and Basic Sciences), in addition to 41 accredited programs. Approximately 15 percent of the programs are bilingual, with around 20 percent of all of the programs taught in English.
