The Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) Social Council has given the first place TFG Emprende award to the students Sergio Villanueva and Álvaro Sainz, which includes a monetary award of 13,000 Euros, for their project “Startup de equipos de motion control” (Motion control equipment startup).  The second place prize, which includes a 7,000-euro award, went to Jessica Páez for her project “ Creación de la empresa Technosight” (Creation of the company Technosight).

Through these awards, the UC3M Social Council supports the entrepreneurial spirit of the university’s undergraduate students, contributing to the promotion of the entrepreneurial ecosystem and the creation of companies at UC3M.

These prizes are aimed at the undergraduate degree final projects about entrepreneurship that stand out in terms of innovation and excellence, and which have obtained UC3M’s TFG-EMPRENDE certificate during the academic year in which the prizes are awarded. With this certificate, UC3M recognizes those works that include entrepreneurial projects based on innovation, so that the students become involved in the culture of the creation of businesses, innovation and the use or development of new technologies.
