UC3M welcomes its new international students

Welcome Days 2023

1/26/23

The Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) is holding its Welcome Days on the 26th, 27th and 30th of January. During these days, international students will have the opportunity to learn about the general functioning of the institution and contact their buddies, who will accompany them during their first days at the University.

Welcome Days 2023

These days are aimed at over 900 international students from the Erasmus+, Non-European Mobility and International Double Degrees exchange programmes and the Young Universities for the Future of Europe (YUFE) European universities network. In turn, 860 students from the Free Movers and Hispanic Studies programmes scheduled for 2023 will take part in these events. The countries of origin of most of the students are: the United States, France, Germany, South Korea, Argentina, Australia and Brazil, among around 40 countries.

The institutional welcome events will take place on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th of January in the Auditorium on UC3M’s Leganés Campus. In addition, on Friday, international students will meet with UC3M students who volunteer for the Buddy Programme, to help them with any problems and doubts. On Monday 30th January, different information sessions will be held in virtual rooms to publicise different activities and services offered by UC3M: artistic creation, sports, personal development, language and sustainable living programmes and other practical issues, such as how to use the library or accommodation resources.

These welcome days are organised by the International Relations Service (SERINT, in its Spanish acronym) of the Vice President’s Office for Internationalisation and the European University of UC3M and the Carlos III International School (C3IS). The ESN (Erasmus Student Network) and BEST (Board of European Students of Technology) student associations are also collaborating.
