The first registration period is open until 31st January 2021

1/13/21

The Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) has opened its first admissions period for enrolment on the university’s academic-professional and research master’s degrees. All of these second cycle advanced training programmes are designed to meet the different needs of the labour market.

The University offers three types of master’s degrees. The first of which are the academic-professional master’s degrees with internships at companies and a high level of employability. The second are research master’s degrees which are oriented toward preparing a further thesis. The third are those that qualify for the pursuit of regulated professional activities.

The first admissions period for the University’s academic-professional and the research master’s degrees closes on the 31st January 2021. Further registration deadlines will be opened for programmes that still have places available. Meanwhile, the master’s degree courses have an adapted calendar that differs from the rest of the University (see admissions calendar).

In addition to the start of the admissions process, the UC3M has opened various calls for grants and scholarships, financed by their own budget as well as by other organisations, which are freely available to all master’s students (both national and international) and that reward the academic excellence of prospective students (see master’s degree grants and scholarships).

The UC3M is offering two new master’s degrees starting in the 2021/22 academic year: the Master’s Degree in Applied and Computational Maths and the Master’s Degree in Industrial Construction Structural Engineering. Another important development will be the expansion and improvement of semi-on-site academic courses, with 6 courses offering this option, in addition to the traditional on-site teaching format (see degree search).

In addition to the master’s degrees, the UC3M also offers many of its own degrees. The UC3M’s School of Continuing Education has also opened an enrolment period, which will remain open until all of the places on these courses have been filled. This specialised form of training mainly consists of University-specific master’s degrees, expert and specialist degrees, as well as other courses, diplomas and workshops.

Starting from the new academic year, the University will offer its own new degrees, such as the UC3M Foundation’s María Pagés Expert in Performing Arts and Contemporary Flamenco and other courses that are still being prepared.

In total, it offers around 70 master’s degrees taught in the fields of Law, Economics and Political Science, Business, Humanities, Communication and Engineering, and Basic Sciences, as well as around 50 of their own programmes. About 10 percent of the programmes are bilingual and around 20 percent are taught in English.

The UC3M is a Spanish public university which excels in teaching, research and innovation. It ranks among the top 35 universities in the world in the QS Top 50 Under 50 ranking and appears among the best Spanish universities in terms of employability of its graduates, according to the latest edition of the Times Higher Education (THE) Global Employability Ranking. The UC3M has numerous accreditations and quality distinctions, such as the EUR-ACE label in the field of Engineering and an AACSB accreditation in Business and Finance programmes, among others.
