UC3M announces call for the 2019-2020 Talent Scholarships with backing from Santander

6/28/19

Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) has announced its call for the 2019-2020 Talent Scholarships, awarding a total of 85 grants to incoming students with the best university access exam scores.  The application period for these scholarships, each in the amount of 1,200 euros, is open until this July 3.

The UC3M Talent Scholarship Program, which is supported by Banco Santander, targets recognition of UC3M incoming students with strong academic records.  Any student who has applied for admission as a first choice to UC3M’s bachelor degree studies for academic year 2019-20120 and who has obtained a score of 12 or higher on the university admission exam  can opt for these scholarships.

The grantees will be facilitated participation in the Buddy Tutoring Program. Through this program, first year students are able to count on the support of a “buddy” upperclassman or woman to accompany them and to tutor them, thus enabling them to quickly adapt to university life.  As of their second year, these same students can participate in the program as tutors, and with the experience they have gained, help new incoming students.

The total budget allocated for these grants is over 100.000 euros, partially funded by Banco Santander. Support from the company for this scholarship program is within the framework of its relation with UC3M, ongoing since 1999 through Santander Universities, for the development of this and other academic projects that boost university students’ learning experiences, entrepreneurship, research and digital transformation.
