The UC3M and LEGATEC are holding the 5th Leganés Business Conference

The Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) Entrepreneurship and Innovation Support Service and the Leganés Science Park Association (LEGATEC) are holding, in collaboration with the Leganés City Council, the 5th Leganés Business Conference on Thursday 15th November.
This conference, which will take place in the UC3M Science Park, will serve to share ideas and points of view in order to move towards the Industry model 4.0, which intends to take steps towards the system of smart factories and cyber-industry of the future. The start-ups born in the University’s community of businesses, the companies from Leganés Science Park and others related to this field will be present at the meeting.
The mayor of Leganés, Santiago Llorente, has congratulated the organisation for this initiative that allows “leading companies that research, develop and carry out technological projects in our city” to get to together in this setting. Llorente has confirmed that for Leganés “it is something to be proud of and an opportunity” to have this Science Park and the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and its push for entrepreneurship and innovation. “They are two examples that give value to our city and offer wonderful growth opportunities to citizens”, he added.
Strengthening innovation of SMEs and interaction among companies
Throughout the day stands will be set up, demonstrations will be carried out and success stories will be showcased by different companies. The companies taking part will be able to share their experience and concerns during discussions that will be carried out in parallel.
This meeting, which celebrates its 5th edition, aims to strengthen innovation among small and medium companies, as well as encourage interaction between attendees. In this sense, participation of research staff and the university community in general is very important.
The conference will count on the participation of representatives from the UC3M, the Leganés Science Park and companies such as Ericsson España, SINAP Proyectos y Desarrollo and Zardoya OTIS. The meeting will address different challenges in the logistics sector, augmented reality, robotics applications and digital innovation and transformation, among other aspects.
