01. What enroll in the first year?

What enroll in the first year?

At this point, you will enroll in the subjects of the two semesters.

When choosing the subjects, you should take these points into account:

  • It is important that you consult the "program" section of your degree's website to find out what is taught in the first year. In some cases, in addition to the Compulsory and Basic Training subjects, you will have to choose one or two Humanities courses, so it is advisable to have them chosen beforehand, with some options.
  • You should consult the timetables and groups available, to ensure that you do not have time coincidences.
  • If you register full-time, you must choose all the subjects of the first year. If you choose to register part-time, you must register for 30 credits. This option is not available for double degrees.

Course Recognition

You can recognize subjects in the following cases:

  • Students from some training cycles, according to the established tables.
  • Students who have already taken another degree with subjects equivalent to those included in their new study plan.

In both cases, you must now register for all the first-year subjects. Later, when your application for recognition is resolved, and depending on the first-year subjects that are recognized, we will give you the possibility of extending your registration to higher courses.

Recognition can be requested from the moment you register until 15th September, at your Student Office.

Teaching model 2023/2024

In general, all classes will be taught face-to-face in all sessions.

However, some transversal subjects will have part of their sessions in an online format. Please consider this if, in your degree, some of them are located in the first year.

  • Information Skills: Most sessions will be online, although there will also be some face-to-face classes.
  • Humanities Courses: Face-to-face, online and mixed courses will be offered. The modality will be indicated in the schedule, so that you can make your selection at the time of enrollment.

The online sessions will be synchronous, that is, they will be taught live.
