Before starting the application process, please read carefully the guidelines specified below.

Second Step: Apply for admission


An application will be considered complete only when the following documents are uploaded to the online application system.

Minimum requirements needed for Application Assessment:

  • Application form
  • Two reference letters. Reference letters have to be submitted directly by the referees to the e-mail address mae@uc3m.es. Please, note that we will NOT accept reference letters submitted by the applicants.
  • Official transcripts (Stamped by your university, in English or in Spanish)
  • Official Degree (If you have not completed your degree yet, please submit as well the following document duly signed: Declaration of having finished previous studies).
  • CV
  • Statement of Purpose
  • TOEFL or equivalent
  • GRE (not compulsory but highly recommended)


Nevertheless, please note that if you are finally admitted, the following documents will be requested:

  • Certified copy of your Bachelor's degree Diploma (legalized and translated into Spanish) If, by the time you are admitted, you have not completed your Bachelor's degree yet, you will have to fill in the document called Declaration of having finished previous studies available on this page. In any case, the Bachelor's degree Diploma will be compulsory for everybody by the time the Master begins. .
  • Certified copy of your transcripts from your bachelor (legalized and translated into Spanish).
  • Passport / Id (if you are part of the European Union)


Please note that if your country belongs to the European Higher Education Area, you can submit the Diploma Supplement of your Bachelor Degree (original or certified copy) together with your Bachelor's degree Diploma (Certified copy). Neither the translation nor the legalization would be necessary in this case.
