    This Master en Gestión Cultural pursue develop hight level professionals at management specialized in cultural issues (museums, galleries, exhibits, performing arts, heritage, cinema, television, publishing among others) and general subjects related to institutions, public and private organism. We desing our program considering transdisciplinary and innovative contents selecting the best professionals and professors for our lectures connecting also with partner centers and keeping contact with our graduate students that allow us continuous improvement.

  • FACULTY
    • Two thirds come from the professional sector giving insides with the career development.
    • The engagement relies upon the module and/or field. Some professor has long term relation with the academic process and some are professional guest speakers.
    • Every module has a coordinator putting more attention in academic competences related with: professors, program, evaluation, coaching and a strong relation with the Direction.

      Requirements

      University Degree (or equivalent) in any discipline.

       

      Students Profile

      Participants come typically from humanities, arts, architecture, communication, social sciences or with interest or experience in the arts and culture sector.

      They come from all over the world, the half are foreign, the other half are Spanish and just the 10% come from our University.

      In the last edition: the participants were younger than 30 years, 75% women and 55% foreigns.

      Open till September 3th.

       

      Selection and evaluation criteria

      Selection process

      This program searches for the best candidates and profiles, furthermore The Admission Committee seek to create a group of qualify persons with different background, origins and experience.

      The Master take in consideration further education related with cultural management and less directly experiences in the arts and culture sector.

      Candidates are required to an admission interview (face-to-face or online) or to prepare an essay (in case of candidates outside Spain).

      Admission deadlines

      Applications are examined on a rolling basis. Those received much in advance of the deadline have a greater chance of being admitted. 75% of the places will be covered in July. The remaining seats will be covered in a second term in September.

      The Admissions Committee will make a reserve list with the candidates that are considered suitable if is the necessity of cover losses that may occur until the beginning of the program.

       

      ADMISSION PROCESS

      The application is available exclusively online in our website at solicitud de inscripción on line. Before September 1th.

       

      How to apply

      Participants should submit the online application. The Admission Committee will accept applications to students without their degree but they should commit to complete their studies before the deadline of the admission process, and attach all the documents require.

      After the selection the students may pay the application fee.

    • REGISTRATION

      The total fee is 9000€ to be paid in three instalments:

      • First Installment: 1.000€. Upon acceptance of the admission to the Master Program.
      • Second Installement: 4000 €, by 31 October.
      • Third Installement: 4000 €, by 15 March.

      The paid of the Firts Installement is non-refundable deposit.

  • AIDS

    The Máster in Cultural Management is making available 2 merit-based tuition waiver:

    • Exempt for payment of the second installment (4000€), in exchange of administrative support.
    • Exempt for payment of the second and third installment (8000€), in exchange of editing, audiovisual and multimedia support.

    Once the program starts the Master make the opening call among their students.

     

  • CAREER OPORTUNITIES

    Professionals in cultural and arts Management able to work in private and public centers, specialized or general, in Spain or abroad.

  • PRACTICAL INFORMATION

    Duration

    • School term: one school year (from Mid-September, 2018 to the beginning of June 2019).
    • Submission of the Master Project: Beginning of July, 2019.
    • Internship: during the school year in the morning or at the end of the school year till December, 2019.

     

     Schedules

    Class sessions and workshops attendance is mandatory, from Monday through Thuesday from 16:00 to 20:00 and Fridays fortnights in the same time frame at the university campus.

    Some activities could happend outside the campus in different cultural centers or institutions.

     

    Internships

    This program includes an internship of at least 300 hours in a prestigious institution /companies of cultural or arts management.

    The Master make a legal agreement with all the companies and include the University insurance, follow ups and final evaluation.

    All the students will make an internship and the Master will procure that fit their personal and career goals.

    The students with previous experience could choose to validate the internship, presenting a paper about their previous work.
