UC3M presents its 2016-2022 Strategic Plan
A commitment to a more open, digital and global university
Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) presents its Strategic Plan for the period 2016-2022, which is set out along three broad lines - research, education and engagement with society _ and a fourth line of a transversal nature - good governance - which affects decision- making.
UC3M’s mission is to contribute to the betterment of society through advanced research in accordance with strict international standards as well as teaching of the highest quality. Accordingly, the University aspires to excellence in all of its activities, striving to become one of the best universities in Europe.
This challenge is approached from three perspectives: achieving a more global university, with teaching and research that is more international and interdisciplinary; shaping a more open university engaged with society; and adapting the University to the digital environment.
Over the next five years, UC3M will take on diverse projects focused on prioritizing excellence in R+D+i and increasing its visibility and impact, making its learning processes more flexible and innovating its academic program offer, fostering the university-business links, improving funding, and deepening commitment with society, among others. All of the actions are guided by the values of capability, efficiency, equality, merit, transparency and respect for the environment.
