UC3M Students

The UC3M has 24.641 students, being similar in size to some of the major European universities, such as Paris II, Uppsala, Maastricht, Tilburg, Cambridge and Oxford (all of which have with in the order of between 14,000 and to 22,000 students).

  • Undergraduate students, 51,5% of which are men and 48,5% are women.
  • Approximately 20% of our students receive grants from the Ministry of Education, from the Community of Madrid or from the UC3M’s own funding programmes.

The highest standards

In 79% of our undergraduate degree courses, UC3M students have obtained the highest admission grades of all the Madrid-based universities.

  • The average grade achieved by students admitted to all degree courses at UC3M stands at 12,285 out of a maximum of 14 points.
  • UC3M covered in its whole all student places in June. In relation to the demand for university studies, for each 100 places offered, the University received 176 applications.

Internationalisation

  • 20.3% of students at UC3M are foreign. This proportion is notably higher at both master’s (27.3%) and doctoral (44.8%) levels.
