Project

"LAW&SUSTAINABILITY"

My contribution aims at mapping new questions and exploring current and potential problems in Environmental and Energy law, or most generally speaking, on public policy striving for sustainable development and sustainable growth. Good (as well as bad) legislation is a powerful instrument towards today’s transformation of society through the constant flooding of innovation, technological assailment, health and growth concerns, climate policy and the quick transition towards renewable energy. We are abusing in an obsessing manner the term “sustainable”, without enhancing its substantial content. This analysis strives for integration at the law-making level. Therefore integration means that Energy and Environmental law, are not assessed on their own. I will focus on the importance of integrating legislation at every level (local, regional, national and European level) and in every related sector within Environmental and energy law in order to get a balance between the level playing field and sustainability goals.
