UC3M among the world’s best universities in sustainability

QS Sustainability Ranking 2024

The Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) is ranked 228th in the world in the QS Sustainability Ranking, which ranks 1397 universities from 95 countries according to their social, environmental and governance impact. It ranks 11th nationally.

Regarding governance, UC3M is ranked 63rd worldwide. This parameter analyses factors related to good governance, such as ethics, hiring practices, transparency or decision-making, among others. In terms of social impact, the University is ranked 223rd. Five indicators are taken into account here, equality, knowledge exchange, impact of education, employability and outcomes, and health and well-being. Finally, it ranks 330th for environmental impact. This score takes into account environmental sustainability, environmental education and environmental research.

The top global positions in this edition of the ranking are held by the University of Toronto, the University of California, Berkeley, the University of Manchester, the University of British Columbia and the University of Auckland in New Zealand. Of the ranked universities, 38 are Spanish.
