UC3M at the NAFSA 2017 International Expo

From May 28th to June 2nd, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid will attend the annual conference of the Association of International Educators (NAFSA), the benchmark world event for professionals who work in international relations and exchanges in the sphere of higher education.
This annual conference, which is holding its 69th edition under the slogan “Expanding Community, Strengthening Connections,” has become the gathering of reference for establishing contacts, expanding knowledge and developing programs with leading organizations in the world of education, agencies and the international community.
The event, which hosts representatives from more than 100 countries and universities with a marked international commitment, has been attended by UC3M since 2008. UC3M is part of the Spanish Pavilion, which is jointly organized by the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade (initialed ICEX in Spanish) and the Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education (initialed SEPIE in Spanish), along with the collaboration of other Spanish universities.
As in previous years, the University will have a stand at the Spanish Pavilion, which will be used to hold meetings with member universities from all over the world (more than 70 registered in 2016) and other institutions that could become potential partners. These meetings, among other aspects, are important for reaching non-European mobility agreements like those that already exist with Purdue University ( Indiana, USA), the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), the University of Sydney, in Australia, and the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).
In addition, UC3M’s offer of bachelor’s degrees will be promoted at the event, and the facilities and services available to international students will be explained.
UC3M also attends the European version of this conference, which is organized by the EAIE (European Association of International Educators). This kind of event is a valuable opportunity to form new alliances, increase the offer of exchange destinations and consolidate UC3M’s commitment to internationalization.
