This study takes into account factors such as academic reputation, employer reputation, number of scientific publication research citations, and the h-index, which measures quantity (production), as well as the quality (impact) of its scientific activity.

The QS general ranking also considers the student/faculty ratio and the attraction of international students and international faculty, among other factors.  Along these lines, universities are assessed in accordance with quality parameters in teaching and research, graduate employability and the international commitment of their institutions.
