This is the University’s first residence hall, opened on October 1, 1994. The principles of the Institución Libre de Enseñanza, and the legacy and values of humanism form the basis of inspiration for the hall.
The hall has capacity for 380 residents distributed in 170 double rooms, 16 single rooms, 10 apartments and 4 rooms specially outfitted for the physically challenged. All rooms have a complete individual bath.
The rooms in both the halls are furnished with 90 x 190cm beds with flexible wood slat support, custom built furniture: closets, drawers, bookshelves, desks and chairs as well as the necessary accessories. This is designed in two totally separate living spaces to provide room for living and studying while offering maximum intimacy and comfort.
Other features include a magnetic card security locking system, individually controlled heating and air-conditioning, telephone, voice mail, TV antenna and internet connection.
The rooms are bright and comfortable and are furnished with all the necessary touches to provide ideal living accommodations while studying or carrying out research.
