Instituto Figuerola de Historia y Ciencias Sociales (History and Social Sciences) is an interdisciplinary institute whose members belong to the departments of Economic History, Law, Economics and Humanities. Its main goal is to combine the analytical and technical tools of the social sciences with the appraisal of past institutions and historical events. The international vocation of Instituto Figuerola is expressed in the design of projects which go beyond the Spanish borders and put special emphasis on fostering European and Ibero-American activities and subjects. The Institute’s activity is organized through five Research Programs.
