Carlos III University of Madrid recently celebrated its 20th anniversary during the 2009/2010 academic year. While we are a relatively new public institution, we have achieved a reputation for academic and research excellence as well as one of innovation and internationalization which attracts top researchers, faculty and students from Spain and around the world. Carlos III offers a wide range of possibilities for research, teaching or studying on any of our 3 beautiful campuses located near the city of Madrid.
Our undergraduate program was the first in Spain to be fully adapted to the requirements of the European Higher Education Area (The Bologna Process). The challenging adaptation process allowed us to consolidate our reputation for innovation in teaching and to prove once again our commitment to furthering the quality of higher education and helping students meet the challenges of today and tomorrow; the quality of our graduates speaks for itself in their successful incorporation in the work place. Our commitment to internationalization can be seen in the large number of students and faculty who come here every year from around the world to participate in exchange programs such as Erasmus, Erasmus-Mundus, International Exchange, and Hispanic Studies. We also offer bilingual undergraduate programs, masters and PhD programs in English, and a large number of academic mobility agreements for students and faculty.
