A key part of this initiative is a strong educational program at both undergraduate and graduate (M.S. and Ph.D.) levels, designed to become nation-wide leader, supported by the new faculty of the Department of Biomedical Engineering.
The undergraduate program in Biomedical Engineering is to be offered in the next academic year 2010-11. The curriculum stresses general education and enables the student to specialize through a minor in Medical Devices and Instrumentation, Medical Imaging, or Tissue Engineering.
